What’s included in my day ticket?

Your ticket includes unlimited gondola rides up and down the mountain, mini golf at the summit, access to our 5 km round-trip hiking trail to Hawley’s Lake, full access to biking trails (bring your own bike or rent an E-Bike at the base), complimentary use of kayaks at Hawley Lake, and time to relax by the water and enjoy the views - everything you need for a full Cape Smokey adventure.

Can I book large groups to visit Cape Smokey?

Can babies ride the gondola?

Yes, babies can safely ride the gondola.

Can dogs ride the gondola?

Yes, dogs are welcome to ride the gondola during the summer season.

What are your opening hours?

Early summer: 10:00am – 6:30pm (last ride at 6:00pm)

Later in the season: 10:00am – 6:00pm (last ride at 5:30pm)

Are there bathrooms at the top of the mountain?

No, there are no bathrooms at the summit. Restrooms are available in the lodge at the base.

Can I bring my own bike on the gondola?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own bike at no extra charge. Or, you can rent one at the base of the hill - reserve online in advance.

Are there events or concerts?

Can I buy food or drinks at the top?

Yes, our summit kiosk offers refreshments, snacks, and merchandise.

How far is the lake from the top kiosk (The Nest)?

Hawley Lake is approximately 2 km from the kiosk.

Can I rent kayaks?

Kayaks are included with your day pass at no extra cost.

Do you have a restaurant?

Yes - The Cape serves fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients, delicious seasonal dishes, and sushi.

When does the season begin and end?
